Bookkeeper

The Business
We are delighted to be partnering with this growing and dynamic property development company located in Lancashire in the recruitment of a bookkeeper.

The role
Due to upcoming projects, the business is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the Head of Finance with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.
This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) offering flexibility in both working hours and days. 

Duties include:

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Process purchase and sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliations and posting transactions
  • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
  • Maintain supplier and customer records
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Support month-end processes and reporting
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams as needed
  • Help ensure compliance with internal financial controls
  • Ad hoc finance and admin tasks as required


Person
  • Ideally studying AAT or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of accounting software - QuickBooks experience desirable
  • Comfortable working independently and managing workload
  • Excellent Excel and general IT skills
