Showroom Designer (Kitchen & Bathrooms)
Part time Showroom Designer (Kitchen and Bathrooms) - Kingston-upon-Thames KT1 - £20,000pa 4 days per week (including Saturday) - Hours (must be flexible to work from Surbiton on occasions). Parking Permit available.
Great opportunity to work for this Company established in 1977 and has been designing, supplying and installing kitchens and bathrooms for over 40 years. Working with the complete team the candidate will need to be confident and friendly and be able to promote the company's products and prepare designs for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms under the guidance of the Managing Director.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES for the Showroom Designer
- Promote the company’s product and services securing quality survey appointments from each showroom, telephone and internet. Progress kitchen and bathroom enquiries from customers in Kingston, Surbiton and Cobham showrooms, answering telephone queries, diarising appointments etc.
- Preparing designs for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, studies under the guidance of the managing director and/or design team.
- Preparing and processing detailed customer specifications and quotations for review by the managing director.
- Secure kitchen and bathroom orders.
Skill Set for Showroom Designer
- Experience and proficiency of Fusion Cad Design package (or similar) is essential together with Microsoft Office/365 including Word and Excel.
Day to Day Basis for Showroom Designer
- Liaising with Kingston, Cobham or Surbiton showrooms as appropriate regarding forthcoming surveys, projects currently being designed and projects being installed.
- Working as part of a team with the Managing Director, Company Secretary and Project Manager.
- Awareness of status of individual enquiries at all showrooms
- Maintaining Fusion CAD package and updating software when necessary.
- High standards of showroom presentation to be maintained including visual displays and ensuring high standards of housekeeping.
- Responsibility for monitoring retail consumer brochures for kitchen and bathroom suppliers, stationery and office supplies, including consumables, i.e. coffee, tea etc., and communicating needs to the Admin assistant/secretary.
- Any ad hoc duties as required.
Personal
- To work with the Managing Director, Project Manager and Company Secretary.
- To treat customers and sub contractors in a confident but pleasant manner and deal with day to day problems as they occur, calmly and efficiently.
Location
- Your place of work shall be Kingston, Cobham and Surbiton as required but the Company reserves the right to amend this at any time to different Company premises dependent on the needs of the business.
