Head of Finance

Talent Finance is working with an award-winning creative business to find a commercially astute, strategically minded Head of Finance to join their leadership team.

This is not a traditional back-office position, it’s a chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of a fast-paced, ideas-driven organisation. You will work closely with senior creative and commercial leaders to ensure every strategic decision is backed by robust financial insight.

This role is predominantly office-based to stay close to the team and business operations, but offers some flexibility in working hours. It could be structured as either a four- or five-day working week, (salary pro rata for 4 days), making it ideal for someone seeking both influence and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end finance function, from compliance to strategic planning
• Partner with the senior team to influence pricing, budgets, and growth strategies
• Deliver monthly management accounts, KPI tracking, and performance reporting
• Oversee statutory accounts, HMRC compliance, and company secretarial duties
• Champion and optimise financial systems (Sage, Synergist, Time Tastic)
• Manage and develop a small, high-performing finance team
• Provide commercial and HR compliance support, including contracts and benefits

About You:

• CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified
• 5+ years’ commercial finance experience in professional services (creative/agency experience highly advantageous)
• Proven skills in management accounting and KPI reporting
• Hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to think strategically
• Proficient with financial and PSA systems
• Confident and collaborative in a dynamic environment
