Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to provide exceptional support and care in various settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment while ensuring the well-being of individuals in their care. This role requires a strong commitment to service and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform commercial cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
• Covering sites, locking and unlocking.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Monitor the health and safety of residents or clients, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Compliance checks. Examples are fire alarm & Legionella etc..
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual’s condition.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere by engaging with individuals in meaningful ways.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care is provided.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to care environments.
