We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a growing accountancy firm in their office in Hove.

We are working with a successful and expanding Sussex based accountancy firm who are looking for an enthusiastic payroll specialist to head up their friendly and professional payroll team. You will initially be responsible for looking after an interesting portfolio of weekly and monthly payrolls - dealing with starters and leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP calculations, auto-enrolment, P45/P46 etc. You will liaise with clients and HMRC as well as working closely with other members of the team.

The firm have great growth plans for the payroll department so in the longer term you will be charged with reviewing and improving processes, developing the payroll team, ensuring effective use of payroll software and working with the partners to develop the payroll client base.

What we are looking for:

• Previous multi payroll experience, ideally gained in an accountancy practice/ payroll bureau environment
• Accuracy, flexibility and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Have a good working knowledge of cloud based payroll software
