Payroll & Pensions Administrator with some limited Cosec duties (Part time 18-25 hours per week)


Location: Hammersmith


This well-known and growing accountancy practice firm based in Hammersmith that has expanded at a tremendous rate over the last 4 years. You will work within a strong and organised team with tremendous clients.

Flexible hours, Office hours are usually 9-530, however, if desired compressed hours can be worked over 3-4 days a week or a flexible start time can be agreed such as starting at 10am and finishing by 2pm if desired to accommodate your own timetable.


This is a new role being created with the view that once settled, you will be the main point of contact for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work part time and who may want progression and more responsibility in other areas of accountancy and tax in the future.


Payroll duties include:

• Handling gross pay calculations, deductions, statutory payments, pensions, and year-end reporting.

• Acting as the lead point of contact with our clients

• Ensure timely and accurate information is sent to clients.

• Handle payroll queries and discrepancies.

• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

• Manage pension contributions and submissions.

• Administer auto-enrolment of pension schemes (mainly NEST or SMART).

• Handle pension queries and provide information to clients.

• Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports.

• Ensure compliance with pension regulations and legislation data accuracy and compliance with GDPR.


Company secretarial duties:

• Assisting the team in preparing and filing the monthly conformation statements (full training will be given)


General Administration:

• Maintain accurate employee records.

• Attend relevant training to stay updated on legislation and best practices.


Requirements:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of payroll and pension systems.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Profile:

• The successful, applicant will have 1.5 years of recent or past experience with UK payroll or in a similar finance position and be confident liaising with clients over the phone and via email.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of Moneysoft an advantage but not a requirement

• Be living in the UK with a right to work

Salary & Benefits:

• £17-£21 per hour pension, dependent on experience.
