Recruitment Officer

Part-Time Recruitment Officer – Flexible Hours (21 hrs/week)
£14.25/hour  | Social Care Sector 6 month fixed term contract 

A local organisation is seeking a Recruitment Officer to support the development of a pool of vetted Personal Assistants for individuals receiving Direct Payments.

Hours: 21 hours per week, flexible across weekdays (9am–5pm)
Pay: £14.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain a pool of vetted PAs using internal systems and CRM databases.
  • Proactively recruit new PAs through community engagement, digital outreach, and local events.
  • Screen, shortlist, and interview candidates to assess suitability and values alignment.
  • Collaborate with DP Advisors and service users to match PAs to individual employers.
  • Support PAs through recruitment checks (DBS, right to work) and induction.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidates, matches, and vacancies.
  • Attend job fairs and work with job centres, colleges, and community groups.
  • Coordinate with the training team to identify and schedule PA training.
  • Promote safeguarding principles and ensure candidates understand employer responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in recruitment, HR support, employability, or customer-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of values-based recruitment and commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Knowledge of the social care or voluntary sector.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns.
  • Empathetic and aware of barriers faced by disabled people and carers.
  • Familiarity with safer recruitment and safeguarding procedures.
  • Confident using Excel, email, CRM systems, and digital platforms.
