Senior Accountant

Pure is currently recruiting for a highly regarded growing accountancy practice based in Newmarket, they are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team, both part-time and full-time will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base, build long-term relationships, and further develop your professional expertise.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial and tax services to a portfolio of clients. You’ll be responsible for preparing accounts, VAT returns, management accounts, and tax submissions, while also advising clients on compliance and business growth. This is a great opportunity for somebody to make the role their own and to work in a senior capacity with a growing practice where you can have an input on future business plans. 

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Completion of bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns
• Advising clients on tax planning and financial matters
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation

You will ideally be ACCA or ACA qualified however, part-qualified will be considered if you have proven experience working in a senior-level role. You must have strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation and be a confident user of accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks or Sage.
