Job Title: Purchasing Assistant-Part-Time Location: Queenborough - Kent Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Purchasing Assistant to support all aspects of the procurement process. This role is ideal for someone with experience working within a purchasing department who understands the importance of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You'll play a key role in ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This role is based in Queenborough
Key Responsibilities Of the purchasing Assistant
Support day-to-day purchasing activities
Liaise closely with suppliers to maintain and strengthen existing relationships
Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders
Work collaboratively with internal departments to meet procurement needs
Assist in monitoring stock levels and supplier performance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function

Previous experience in a purchasing department
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with suppliers
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
