CPD Officer - Part time 28 hours

Role Purpose

To provide support to the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) function in terms of delivery of department work and administrative support. To assist with both process development in relation to CPD and help to ensure that day-to-day work of the department is undertaken efficiently and to a high standard of customer service.

The postholder can be based anywhere in the UK but may need to travel to the office based in London (Canary Wharf) for meetings, based on business need.

Key Accountabilities

  • Respond to departmental enquiries by telephone, email or letter in line with department KPIs.
  • Process CPD provider applications, ensure process efficiency and take a role in recommending and developing process improvements to ensure stakeholders receive the best possible service.
  • Develop and maintain relevant standard operating procedures, and coach others within the team in relation to your areas of work.
  • Undertake record keeping, scanning and filing in relation to departmental projects and processes, and other administrative duties where necessary.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, policies and guidance.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings (including collation and distribution of relevant papers), appointments and travel arrangements, including room bookings and arranging catering.
  • Provide support to auditors and reviewers, and ensure log of workload is kept for accurate and timely payments.
  • Update the GOC website in relation to CPD.
  • Assist team members with project work including research, drafting and development of processes and policies.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders relevant to departmental work and ensure that information is shared appropriately.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Good MS office skills as appropriate to the role e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in using customer relationship management software/database
