What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting Learning: Work closely with small groups of pupils, helping them stay engaged and make progress during lessons.
  • Encouraging Growth: Offer one-to-one support when needed, helping learners overcome challenges and celebrate their successes.
  • Promoting Positive Behaviour: Assist the class teacher in managing behaviour and creating a calm, respectful classroom environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with teachers and behaviour managers to ensure consistent support for all pupils.
  • Staying Organised: Keep group work and learning materials tidy and ready for the next lesson, helping track progress effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Positive and Patient: You bring energy, empathy, and a can-do attitude to every day.
  • Experienced: You’ve supported learners with additional needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, or non-verbal communication.
  • Confident with Behaviour Support: You’re comfortable using behaviour strategies and supporting pupils through challenging moments.
  • SEND-Savvy: Experience with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs is a big plus.
What You’ll Need:
  • Relevant Experience: Previous UK-based experience supporting SEND learners, ideally in a school setting.
  • DBS Check: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one.
  • Right to Work: You must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
