SALARY £26,936 pro rata (Actual salary for 30 hours per week £21,840 per annum)

JOB TYPE: 18 Month, Fixed Term, Part-Time Contract

WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week Monday to Thursday (flexible timings to suit young people's needs. Will include occasional weekend work

KEY REQUIREMENT: Candidates MUST have a Drivers Licence and access to a car for work use.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Youth Worker / Youth Support Practitionerwill include:

  • Youth Support & Empowerment: Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based one-to-one and group support to empower young people
  • Relationship Management: Build trusted, professional relationships with young people facing a range of complex challenges
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work in close partnership with local services, local authorities, agencies, and professionals to provide holistic support
  • Confidential Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential case records, risk assessments, and action plans
  • Professional Development: Participate in team meetings, reflective practice, and supervision to support continuous professional growth
  • Access & Progression: Enable young people to access a range of positive activities, mentoring, and progression opportunities
  • Monitoring & Development: Contribute to the monitoring, evaluation, and ongoing development of projects
  • Professional Representation: Represent the organisation professionally in multi-agency settings


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Previous experience working directly with young people in one-to-one and group settings
  • Proven experience of safeguarding, case management, and partnership working
  • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Technologically confident, able to use digital platforms for communication and record keeping
  • A reflective and trauma-informed practitioner
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
  • Confident in preparing and delivering presentations or group sessions
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Desirable:

  • Relevant youth work, social work, or counselling qualifications
  • Experience participating in safeguarding or child protection meetings
  • Experience in community-based youth work or outreach
