We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our small and friendly finance team. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the Responsible Financial Officer and ensuring the smooth running of the Council’s financial operations.
About the role:
21 hours per week, flexible working pattern
Location Office-based in Great Linford, Milton Keynes
Reporting directly to the Responsible Financial Officer
£13.26 to £14.36 depending on experience
Key responsibilities include:
Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments
Managing financial records, staff work sheets, and the asset register
Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
Liaising with suppliers, hirers, and staff on financial matters
Providing general financial and administrative support
What we’re looking for:
Experience in a financial administration role
Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
Good IT skills (Microsoft 365, financial systems)
Organised, self-motivated, and a team player
Experience of local government or not-for-profit organisations is desirable but not essential
