Finance Administrator

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our small and friendly finance team. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the Responsible Financial Officer and ensuring the smooth running of the Council’s financial operations.

About the role:
  • 21 hours per week, flexible working pattern
  • Location Office-based in Great Linford, Milton Keynes
  • Reporting directly to the Responsible Financial Officer
  • £13.26 to £14.36 depending on experience
Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments
  • Managing financial records, staff work sheets, and the asset register
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
  • Liaising with suppliers, hirers, and staff on financial matters
  • Providing general financial and administrative support
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in a financial administration role
  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft 365, financial systems)
  • Organised, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Experience of local government or not-for-profit organisations is desirable but not essential
