Internal Communications Lead

Full time or Part time hours considered (minimum of 28 hours per week), permanent

Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home with up to three days per week working from home

Salary range £40,000 to £50,000 FTE pa plus benefits

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join University of the Built Environment at an exciting time of growth, ensuring our vision remains at the forefront. As the Internal Communications Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an internal communications and engagement service, ensuring staff are consistently informed and valued. You will be integral in inspiring and informing staff, ensuring we continue to effectively communicate our vision, our success and our impact on the built environment.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership on the development of the University's internal communications strategy
• Create and deliver targeted communication frameworks that support organisational change, enhance employee engagement, and foster a shared sense of purpose
• Equip University managers with tailored communication tools and content, enabling a consistent, two-way flow of information that enhances leadership visibility, encourages dialogue, and supports a collaborative organisational culture
• Plan and deliver a range of staff engagement activities and events that reinforce strategic priorities, strengthen the University as a community and inspire staff to contribute to the University's growth and success

Our main requirements:

• Experience developing and implementing an internal communication strategy
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• PR/Communication skills
• Experience in event organization
