Driver / Yard Operative / General Worker

Location: Batley, WF17

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver / Yard Operative / General Worker to join their friendly team on a part-time basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same - from collections and deliveries to keeping their yard safe and tidy, carrying out basic gardening and maintenance, and supporting their production team when needed. If you enjoy practical work and being part of a supportive, long-established company, they would love to hear from you.

Hours: Monday – Wednesday; 8:00AM – 4:00PM, with possible overtime (final working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate).

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Key Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (clean record essential).
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to carry out manual handling and yard duties safely.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible attitude with willingness to support across tasks.
• Basic DIY/practical skills for site maintenance.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out safe and timely deliveries and collections.
• Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and stock movement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard and external areas.
• Carry out basic gardening and site upkeep.
• Provide general support in the workshop and across site as required.
• Represent the company in a professional manner with suppliers and customers.
