Annual Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)
Location: Newcastle (occasional travel to Stockton)
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Cashier to join their finance team based primarily in Newcastle. This is a fully office-based role initially with the potential to move to a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the legal departments with day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with Solicitor Accounting Rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process day-to-day client-related transactions
  • Post client and office bank statements
  • Raise WIP and disbursement bills
  • Provide financial support to all legal departments
  • Check and process completion packs
  • Perform various client-related reconciliations
  • Conduct audit and general control reviews
  • Manage archiving and general administration duties
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitor Accounting Rules

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a Legal Cashier role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take on new challenges
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to the Stockton office
