Part Time HR Advisor

We are delighted to be supporting a values-led organisation in their search for a part time HR Advisor. This is a permanent opportunity, working 26 hours per week (3 or 4 days), with one working day required to be Monday. The role offers hybrid working, with office attendance varying each week depending on business and team needs.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you will provide professional, pragmatic advice and support to managers and colleagues across a broad range of HR activity. You’ll play a key role in employee relations, coaching managers through casework and ensuring best practice. Alongside this, you’ll support the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, family leave, flexible working, and learning and development. You’ll also contribute to HR projects, policy updates, data reporting, and initiatives that improve colleague engagement and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance and support across all people processes.
  • Advise managers on ER casework, ensuring compliance and colleague wellbeing.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to L&D, wellbeing, EDI and organisational development initiatives.
  • Assist with HR reporting, data analysis, and policy updates.
  • Undertake HR administration as needed to support the team.

The Person:

  • CIPD Level 3/5 qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
  • Broad HR generalist experience, including ER casework and recruitment.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Experience of resolving complex people challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and values-driven, with coaching and influencing skills.

Location: Portishead (hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £35,236 per annum (pro rata to £24,760 for 26 hours per week) + excellent benefits
