Offering wrap-around services, we reach out and engage with individuals who have a prescription drug dependence. The drugs we specialise in are benzodiazepines, Z Drugs, Gabapentinoids and opiate based painkillers. We provide safe and supportive environments with one-to-one support, advocacy, group therapy and telephone support service.
We share our knowledge with health professionals and promote prevention awareness, ensuring our clients receive the best care needed.
We are now looking for a Trainee Recovery and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team in Bristol to deliver our service to adults. This is a permanent, part-time role, working 22 hours per week, with the opportunity to extend hours.

The Role
As a Trainee Recovery and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will provide face-to-face and virtual therapy to adults who suffer from a dependency on drugs, such as benzodiazepines (tranquillisers), Z drugs (sleeping pills), painkillers and similar.
You will deliver Therapy 300, a holistic approach to recovery which we will train you in, as well as comprehensive assessments, recovery plans and outcome profiles.
Encouraging your clients to self-manage their recovery, you will guide them on healthy choices and positive changes to overcome their substance dependence.
Additionally, you will engage with people from all backgrounds and ages, supporting them through the recovery process.
About You
As a Trainee Recovery and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will need:
- At a minimum, one year’s experience as a support worker, working in the mental health sector or working with drug misusers
- The ability to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships
- Good written communication skills
- A can-do attitude and positive nature
- Good IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and CRM
- The ability to demonstrate respect for the diversity, culture, values and choices of clients and wider family and community
- The ability to promote equal opportunities and challenge discriminatory practice
- A Level 3 diploma in Health & Social Care, Counselling or equivalent qualification or willingness to achieve qualifications
- An appropriate health professional qualification; National Occupational Standards (DANOS), Health and Social Care Suite (HSC) or the willingness to achieve this
Access to a car is preferred, however, we will accept other means of transport (e.g. bike, public transport, etc.).
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will need an enhanced DBS check.
