HR Administrator (Part-Time)
Hours: 21 hours per week / 3 days (Tuesdays essential; other days to be agreed)

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-focused HR Administrator to join their HR Operations Team.

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will provide professional HR administration support to staff and managers in a timely, efficient, confidential, and customer-focused manner. You will also play a key role in ensuring full compliance with UK employment legislation and ISI regulations.

This is a varied role covering compliance, HR lifecycle administration, operational support and payroll support with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and wider HR projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee data and the Single Central Register (SCR)
  • Carry out safeguarding and pre-employment checks (DBS, references, right-to-work, visas)
  • Support accurate and timely UK payroll administration
  • Provide HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, leavers, and relocation claims
  • Be a first point of contact for employee queries, providing timely and effective advice
  • Support recruitment, induction, absence, maternity, and employee relations processes as needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within HR operations

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous HR administration experience, ideally in a compliance-heavy environment
  • CIPD training
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law, right-to-work and safeguarding requirements (desirable)
  • Confident IT skills, including HR systems (iTrent experience an advantage)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
