Annual Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + pro rata
Location: Near Great Blakenham
Job Type: Part-time (25 hours per week)
Working Arrangement: Fully office-based

We are seeking a Part time Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a successful and well-established business. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual with strong experience in financial management, including Management Accounts, VAT, and Year-End processes. The successful candidate will report directly to the company’s Directors and oversea one member of staff. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly Management Accounts, including reconciliation to the costing system
  • Reconcile Trial Balance and control accounts (VAT, PAYE, CIS, Wages, Sales & Purchase Ledger)
  • Prepare annual budgets and update monthly forecasts
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns
  • Reconcile and process PAYE/NIC and CIS tax payments
  • Manage weekly and monthly payroll, including statutory returns (FPS, EPS, P60, P11D, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with pension and auto-enrolment legislation
  • Oversee credit control and ensure timely payments
  • Process subcontractor ledger including applications, certificates, and retentions
  • Manage cash book and purchase ledger
  • Supervise x1 Accounts Clerk

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software
  • Proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the construction industry would be an advantage - but not essential.
