The firm’s Private Client Tax team in Poole is expanding and looking for an experienced and personable Private Client Tax Manager to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and trusts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax cases, including HNW individuals and trusts
  • Draft bespoke tax advice reports on issues such as inheritance tax planning, residence, and domicile
  • Provide capital gains tax advice on UK and non-UK assets including property and shares
  • Oversee compliance processes including the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns and computations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and support their development
  • Liaise confidently with clients, HMRC, solicitors, and other professional advisors
  • Work collaboratively with the wider firm, especially financial planning colleagues, to offer joined-up client service
  • Identify and promote additional services where appropriate
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and industry developments
Requirements
  • ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience in private client tax
  • Strong technical knowledge across personal tax, trusts, IHT, CGT, and UK residency rules
  • Experience drafting tax planning reports and handling complex client queries
  • Confident in managing client relationships and presenting complex information in a clear, concise way
  • Familiar with relevant compliance standards and deadlines
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
  • A team player with a collaborative approach to work
  • Experience with tax software and Microsoft Office applications
