As a Corporate Tax Director in the Bristol office, you'll join a multi-disciplinary tax team of over 130 professionals, supported by 13 experienced Tax Partners. You’ll play a vital leadership role in managing a well-established portfolio of OMBs, SMEs, and large corporate clients, while also mentoring and developing the next generation of tax professionals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and technically strong tax leader looking to step into a role that combines strategic influence, people leadership, and exciting client work.
Responsibilities - Lead and develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services
- Oversee a team of corporate tax professionals, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and career development support
- Act as a senior point of contact for HMRC, including interactions with Client Compliance Managers and managing investigations
- Collaborate with Audit and Accounts teams to ensure seamless service delivery across departments
- Manage complex corporate tax compliance assignments and review technical submissions
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with current legislation and the firm’s internal policies
- Take ownership of billing, WIP management, and debtor collection for your portfolio
- Deliver and contribute to internal and external tax training sessions and presentations
- Keep up to date with tax legislation and interpret changes effectively for clients and team members
- Play an active role in business development and firm-wide leadership initiatives
Requirements - CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA an advantage)
- Extensive post-qualified experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory
- Proven leadership capabilities, including managing and developing tax teams
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of corporate tax matters, including large corporates and OMBs
- Effective communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute and proactive in identifying opportunities for growth
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style
