Purchase Ledger Assistant (Part-Time)

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking business based in Stratford-upon-Avon, who are seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis. This position offers between 16–20 hours per week, with flexibility to work across 3–4 days on-site.

  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding to cost centres
  • Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Preparing and processing payment runs in line with company policies and deadlines
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Responding to supplier queries promptly and professionally
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Experience with Sage 50
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn
