Role Responsibilities

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will:

  • Provide expert legal guidance on social housing governance, charity law, and regulatory compliance
  • Advise clients on mergers, land disposals, and charitable obligations
  • Support clients with policy, procedure, and compliance under the Charities Act, Companies Act, and other relevant legislation
  • Handle a varied caseload, ensuring matters are managed efficiently and clients are kept informed
  • Represent clients in County Court hearings and other proceedings
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to staff development
  • Stay up to date with legislative changes and sector developments, applying them to client work
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid experience in social housing, governance, and charity law
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance and sector best practices
  • Strong ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice
  • Experience in mentoring, managing, or supervising staff
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage a profitable caseload
  • Proven advocacy skills in County Court proceedings
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills
