This role involves planning, delivering, and assessing motor vehicle courses from Levels 1 to 3, in accordance with IMI specifications. Day-to-day of the role of an MV Lecturer: - Plan, deliver, and assess motor vehicle courses in line with IMI specifications.
- Develop and implement schemes of learning, lesson plans, and learning resources that cater to a diverse student body.
- Provide comprehensive support to learners through tutorials, pastoral care, and progression guidance.
- Monitor student performance, attendance, and achievement to ensure high standards of conduct and success.
- Contribute to curriculum development, participate in quality assurance processes, and collaborate effectively within course teams.
- Engage in community and school activities such as open days, enrolment sessions, parents’ evenings, and employer engagement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the MV lecturer role: - Must hold a Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification.
- A recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, DET, CERT Ed, or equivalent) is essential.
- Recent and relevant industry experience, with up-to-date knowledge of current motor vehicle practices.
- Proficient digital literacy skills, with the ability to integrate technology into teaching.
- Strong communication and pastoral skills, capable of supporting a wide range of learners.
