Part-Time HR Co-Ordinator

Our client is a fast-growing managed service provider (MSP) based in Borehamwood, delivering world-class IT consultancy and support across London and the South East. As they continue on a strong growth trajectory, they are seeking strategic HR leadership to enhance people capabilities and organisational effectiveness.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced HR professional to join their leadership team as a part-time HR Coordinator (3 days per week). In this role, you will design and implement comprehensive people strategies that drive growth, engagement, and operational excellence. Working closely with the CEO, you will establish HR frameworks and processes that support scaling ambitions while maintaining a culture of technical excellence and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement career pathway frameworks with clear progression criteria for technical and operational roles
  • Design Learning & Development strategies, including skills matrices, training programmes, certification pathways, and competency frameworks
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, including job specifications, candidate sourcing, assessment, and selection
  • Establish performance management systems, including appraisals, objective setting, and development planning
  • Maintain employee relations protocols, grievance procedures, and disciplinary frameworks
  • Implement employee retention initiatives based on engagement data and market insights
  • Manage absence policies, including return-to-work procedures
  • Develop HR metrics and reporting frameworks to inform strategic decision-making
  • Partner with leadership on organisational design, culture development, and change management initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • CIPD qualification ideally but not essential (Level 5 or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years HR generalist experience in an SME environment, ideally within the technology sector
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing HR frameworks from the ground up
  • Expert knowledge of UK employment law, compliance, and risk management
  • Experience with technical recruitment and assessment methodologies for IT roles
  • Demonstrated capability in Learning & Development strategy and programme design
  • Experience with ISO27001 implementation/maintenance (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in HR metrics and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
