Key Responsibilities in Accounts Payable – Property Sector
Process a high volume of property-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices for multiple property sites
Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally, maintaining positive working relationships
Carry out reconciliations of supplier statements and property-related accounts
Assist with month-end closing, including accruals and financial reporting for property operations
Support the implementation of process improvements for accounts payable within the property team
Ensure that all payments are authorised according to company policy and raised within deadlines
Liaise with property managers and colleagues across departments to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain accurate and organised records for auditing and compliance purposes
Skills, Experience and Competencies for Accounts Payable (Property)
Previous experience in an accounts payable position, ideally within the property sector or a multi-site business
Good knowledge of financial processes, invoice management, and supplier ledgers
Strong IT skills, especially with finance systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills to build relationships with both suppliers and internal colleagues
Well-organised, accurate, and able to manage workload to meet deadlines
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
A collaborative team player keen to support colleagues and deliver great service
