We are now seeking a motivated and detail oriented Accounts/Credit Control & Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. This role offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time hours available, making it ideal for candidates looking to balance work and life while playing a key part in the smooth running of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing customer accounts and monitoring outstanding balances.
Chasing overdue payments in a professional and courteous manner.
Raising and processing invoices, payments and credit notes.
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records including purchase and sales ledgers.
Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements and customer accounts.
Assisting with VAT returns and preparing information for the accountant.
Supporting month end and year end processes.
Producing basic financial reports if required.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts or credit control.
Familiarity with accounting software eg Sage, Xerox, Quickbooks or similar.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with customers and suppliers professionally.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small supportive team.
