Part-Time Bookkeeper (Freelance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Freelance Bookkeeper with proven experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to work for our well-established and busy client located in Hoddesdon. The role will primarily focus on bank reconciliations and supporting daily accounting operations. This is a flexible, part-time or freelance position suitable for someone who can manage recurring bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The role would be to work 1 day per week with some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations within Business Central.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to address discrepancies or provide financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and general ledger management.
