Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Coordinator required to support an established Charity. This position is part time paying an annual salary of £23,250 working 30 hours a week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative Volunteer Coordinator to join a charity focused on helping others. The Volunteer Coordinator will oversee the management of all elements of volunteering; including, recruiting, training, administration, and line management of the volunteers.

Duties:

• Support the development of the volunteering programme, including, identifying

opportunities for local campaigns and contributing to the volunteer recruitment strategy.

• Promote the volunteer programme through local outreach, open days, & digital campaigns tailored to our resident community.

• Promote the volunteer programme by ensuring promotional materials are up to date.

• Raise the profile of the charity's volunteering programme through nominating volunteers for external awards and events.

• Review internal opportunities for volunteers to engage.

• Work with local agencies to scope opportunities for collaboration.

• Attend volunteer workshops to ensure compliance to legislative changes.

• Attend volunteer workshops & ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and legislative requirements.

• Manage a small team of QVSR volunteers.

• Organise activities & day trips for the charity’s residents in collaboration with the Welfare Team.

• Act as an ambassador for the charity both digitally and in person.

Applicants should have:

  • Previous experience of managing or coordinating volunteer programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of people, including volunteers, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • The ability to motivate and inspirea team of volunteers.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Flexible, personable, with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Confidence in delivering presentations and analysing data.
