Lecturer in Plumbing – Permanent Role

Location: St Helens

Salary: £20,015 to £25,805 per annum


Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week


St Helen's College is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Plumbing to join their Construction Faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of plumbing professionals through high-quality teaching and training.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering and developing plumbing programmes up to Level 3 for full-time and apprenticeship learners.
  • Designing engaging learning materials and assessments.
  • Supporting learners through tutorials and individual learning plans.
  • Participating in open events, enrolment, and interviews.
  • Contributing to quality assurance and curriculum development.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Gas.
  • Recent and relevant industry experience.
  • GCSEs (A*–C / 9–4) in Maths and English.
  • Willingness to obtain a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, CET) if not already held.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience with renewable technologies.
