Drive Customer Satisfaction: Delivery Driver (7.5 Tonne) Role Are you a reliable and responsible driver who thrives in a customer-facing role? We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our delivery team, bringing our customers’ purchases directly to their homes and helping them take the next step toward their perfect night’s sleep.
Main Duties: 7.5 Tonne Driver Responsibilities & Customer Service Excellence - Safely drive and operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle, transporting products to customers’ homes on scheduled routes.
- Deliver and, when required, assemble products in line with agreed customer specifications and company standards.
- Provide a welcoming, friendly, and professional delivery service, ensuring every customer feels valued.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and digital signatures, maintaining accurate delivery and collection records.
- Handle customer queries or returns with empathy, offering quick and effective solutions.
- Regularly inspect the vehicle, reporting any faults or defects, and adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with your delivery colleague, supporting each other to meet delivery targets and KPIs.
Skills and Experience: Essential Criteria for 7.5T Customer Delivery Drivers - Full, clean UK driving licence with C1 entitlement, valid Driver CPC, and digital tachograph card.
- Experience operating a 7.5 tonne (or similar) vehicle professionally.
- Good physical fitness – ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre large and heavy products safely with a delivery partner.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to friendly, effective customer service at every stop.
- Excellent time-management and organisational ability, ensuring all deliveries run on schedule.
- Attention to detail, especially when completing paperwork, following processes, and assembling products.
- Flexible, positive, and reliable—willing to work varying shift patterns, including early starts, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
