Job Title: Assistant Accountant (Part-Time)

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with experience assisting the preparation of Management Accounts.

We are currently recruiting for a lovely Reed client based in Wolverhampton. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our client initially on a contract basis with the potential to go permanent. This is a dynamic position ideal for an experienced candidate looking to develop their skills and have a direct impact on reporting and process improvements across the business!

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
• Handle journals, prepayments, accruals, and oversee monthly payroll.
• Control fixed assets and calculate depreciation.
• Manage petty cash processing and reconciliation.

Ideally, You Will:

• Have previous experience working in a similar role in order to hit the ground running with the team!
• Have previous experience assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts, as that is the main duties within the role.
• Have relevant knowledge from studies like the AAT or a Degree in Accounting & Finance.
• Have familiarity with Sage 50 and Xero Accounting systems.
