We provide our services throughout East Anglia and beyond from our base in Martlesham, Suffolk. We look after a variety of small and medium sized business in a wide range of sectors and provide services from basic bookkeeping through to fractional CFO/FD services.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a small, supportive team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting software, with a focus on providing accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support year-end processes and liaise with external accountants.
• Implement and maintain efficient financial systems and processes.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required.

About You

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience.
• Strong track record of working independently and self-reliantly, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a small team environment when needed.
• Previous experience with owner-managed or small businesses is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of their unique financial and operational challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to provide clear, actionable financial advice.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
