Payroll Assistant

Part-time payroll roles don't come up often. They're a bit like spotting a unicorn.

This South Leeds based business are after someone who actually enjoys being the calm in the chaos. The person who makes sure everyone gets paid on time, the contracts go out properly, and the training's chased without having to send 47 reminder emails.

You'll work part-time hours to suit you and your personal life but make a full-time impact.

Here's what you'll actually be doing:

  • Collate monthly payroll info and process it from start to finish
  • Handle HMRC submissions without breaking into a sweat
  • Complete P11Ds like it's no big deal
  • Administer pensions (because someone has to)
  • Be the person everyone comes to with payroll or HR-related questions
  • Keep training programmes rolling and gently (or not so gently) chase completion
  • Keep HR records up to date - properly, not "ish"
  • Send out offer letters, contracts, and carry out Right to Work checks
  • Manage the occasional speeding notice
  • Make sure driving licence checks are done every year
  • Open new supplier and customer accounts
  • Handle the sort of admin that keeps a business running smoothly - even if no one notices until you're not there

What you'll get:

  • An annual salary of up to £30k (full time equivalent)
  • Flexible working hours
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)

They're not looking for someone who wants to climb a corporate HR ladder. They're after someone who knows their stuff, likes getting things right, and appreciates the satisfaction of leaving a spreadsheet perfectly balanced.

You'll be working with a down-to-earth team - the kind who actually say thank you when payroll lands without a hitch.

So, if you've been waiting for a genuinely part-time payroll position, this is it.

Apply now before this one vanishes into the land of "should've applied when I saw it."
