Job Title: Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

Location: Leeds

Hours: 21 hours per week

Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 Full-Time Equivalent (DOE)

As a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist based in Leeds, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support communication, swallowing, and cognitive rehabilitation, enabling individuals to maximise their independence and quality of life.

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments
• Develop and implement personalised therapy plans based on evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic care
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet individual needs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and service improvement activities
• Promote best practice and contribute to the development of specialist services

Essential:

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Experience working with adults with acquired brain injury or neurological conditions
• Strong clinical reasoning and therapeutic skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
