Sales Operations Manager

Commitment: ~3 days per week, flexible hours

Overview

Our client is a boutique consultancy delivering high-impact software solutions to the financial services sector. They work in agile, cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges at pace, bringing innovation and autonomy to every engagement.

They are currently supporting the build of a cutting-edge reinsurance platform for a global financial services client and are seeking a Sales Operations Manager to take ownership of operational sales processes and light marketing execution. This role ensures the pipeline runs smoothly, prospects are managed effectively, and the business development function is supported without distraction from delivery work.

What's Needed

  • Contract/freelance engagement, remote, ideally 2-3 days per week
  • Previous experience in B2B sales operations or marketing operations
  • Proficiency in CRM management (experience with Attio is a plus)
  • Ability to coordinate with external business development partners
  • Proactive mindset - someone who organises the team rather than waiting for instruction
  • Understanding of consultancy, technology, or data environments (finance/reinsurance background is a bonus but not essential)
Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure systematic follow-ups in CRM (Attio)
  • Repurpose and distribute content (LinkedIn, email, sales materials)
  • Coordinate with external business development partners and prospects
  • Qualify opportunities before escalation to leadership
  • Oversee internal knowledge management and sales asset organisation
  • Suggest and implement process improvements, tools, and automation
What They're Not Looking For
  • Someone who needs significant hand-holding or detailed instruction
  • A generic marketing campaign manager
  • Experience only within large, highly structured environments
The Ideal Candidate

This role suits someone who is polished, professional, and able to engage credibly with senior executives in the reinsurance and financial services sector. You'll combine operational rigour with flexibility, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks while enabling the leadership team to focus on high-value conversations and delivery.
