About the Role:

As a Residential Care Officer, you’ll work closely with children and young people in a warm, caring, and enabling environment. You’ll support their emotional, social, and physical development, helping them thrive in a safe and structured setting.

You’ll:

  • Be actively involved in care planning and reviews
  • Support children through emotional or behavioural challenges
  • Promote independence and life skills
  • Work within a rota that includes weekends and unsocial hours
  • Participate in domestic duties and sleep-in shifts


What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding
  • Willingness to undertake training, including Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (mandatory within 2 years)
  • Ability to work towards Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English if not already held
