Accounts Assistant - Part time

The Role: As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of the company’s financial processes. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.
  • Supporting with daily financial entries and assisting in the maintenance of accounting systems.
  • Preparing and processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Reconciling bank statements and investigating discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and organised documentation.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end duties alongside the wider finance team.
  • Responding to queries from colleagues and external contacts.
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance department as required.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.
  • A positive, proactive, and problem-solving attitude.
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with accounting software or Excel (desirable).
