Client Accounts Assistant (Part time – 15 hours per week)

Salary: £15p/h - £20p/h DOE

Location: Hove (however initial training will be in Worthing)

Hours: P/T 15 hours per week (flexible over 3, 4 or 5 days per week)

Are you an experienced Client or Property Accounts professional looking for a flexible part-time role within a friendly, supportive, and well-established property organisation?

You’ll be reporting directly to the Group Accountant (based in Worthing) while working closely with the wider team at the Hove branch. This is a varied and rewarding position, requiring accuracy, organisation, and great communication skills to ensure smooth client accounting processes and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the process of rental receipts, statements, and reconciliations.
  • Carry out Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks in line with current regulations.
  • Post financial transactions accurately into Sage.
  • Liaise with landlord clients to resolve queries and provide financial updates.
  • Complete regular bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain compliance with financial controls in accordance with company policies.
  • Support the Group Accountant with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven background in client or property accounting.
  • Ideally AAT Level 2 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong IT skills, with Sage experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and approachable attitude.
