We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator who can lead on customer care and data management. You must be able to contribute as part of a team of five, but also be able to work confidently under your own initiative, working proactively to identify forthcoming priorities, organising your workload accordingly and supporting colleagues as required.
Key parts of the role are managing new student enrolments, exam bookings and exam results, managing data relating to continuing professional development, and handling email and telephone queries from our customers whether they are individuals or their employers. The role should also grow into managing reviews of all outgoing documentation and guidance, and helping identify ways to improve our service, as well as anything else that needs doing in a small business.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a calm, methodical and organised personality, a flexible approach and has the ability to cope with a wide range of tasks, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. A good telephone and email manner are important. IT skills are important and you will need to be competent in use of Word, Excel and Outlook.
A lot of the role will involve use of a Microsoft Access database, to enter data and to use it to help resolve questions – experience of using MS Access would be advantageous, and, while not essential, the ideal candidate will have experience of creation and use of simple SQL queries, and experience of simple coding in VBA would be even better – or be able to demonstrate relevant IT aptitude that could lead to such skills.
