Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs - possibility of part time
Salary £24,500 plus benefits
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Customer Service Assistant to join a busy and dynamic team within a growing technical services organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is integral to ensuring smooth communication and coordination between service, sales, and client teams. You will act as a key point of contact, supporting service operations and helping to deliver an excellent client experience. This is ideally a full time role, but the company will consider reduced hours for the right person.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate service contracts and schedule preventative maintenance visits.
- Provide administrative support including preparing quotations, ordering spare parts, and arranging courier collections/deliveries.
- Collate and monitor service team activity to ensure SLA compliance.
- Produce monthly service performance reports, tracking downtime and activity levels.
- Prioritise and escalate urgent service cases to technical management.
- Manage calibration schedules for testing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with service and management teams to ensure timely case resolution.
- Support management with data and reporting for performance reviews.
- Promote and uphold company values and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.
Person Specification Essential
- Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive, assertive, and approachable personality.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Team player with a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
Preferred
- Experience using Excel and service management software.
