Part-Time Commercial Accountant – York

Our client in York who are continuing to grow are looking for an individual who has strong business partnering experience and a proactive approach to financial management.

About the Role:

In this role, you will act as a trusted business partner, providing insightful financial analysis and guidance to support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to manage budgets, forecasts, and drive financial performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a strategic business partner, providing actionable insights to support business growth
• Preparing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitoring KPI's
• Preparing detailed management accounts and analysis to inform decision-making
• Managing risk
• Liaising closely with stakeholders at all levels, building strong working relationships
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Ideally a qualified Accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Proven experience in a commercial accounting role with strong business partnering skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders

This role is offered on a part time basis (3 or 4 days) with hybrid working.
