1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

Academics, acting as an agency, are looking to recruit a caring and resilient 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a flexible, temporary ongoing positions in Doncaster.

Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, temporary ongoing
Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities and achieving their potential. You will assist with daily learning tasks, emotional regulation, and communication, adapting your approach to meet the individual's needs.

This role is ideal for someone with previous SEN experience who is passionate about making a difference in children's education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs.
• Assist with communication, behaviour, and social interaction.
• Deliver targeted learning activities under teacher guidance.
• Support the child's emotional wellbeing and personal development.
• Work closely with teaching staff and parents to ensure progress.
• Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.

Candidate Requirements

? Experience working with children with SEN (essential).
? Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable).
? Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach.
? Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
? Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
