As an impactful member of the team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the brand’s growth. There may be opportunities for equity participation or profit-sharing in the future, subject to business performance & mutual agreement.

We’re looking for a Studio Manager who’s not only a talented instructor but a sales-focused relationship builder — someone who thrives on connecting with people, turning interest into memberships, & bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to growing a loyal community.

Our Vision: Build Bristol’s premier reformer Pilates destination in a state-of-the-art 2,500 sq ft facility featuring 10 reformers, a small group training space, & a dedicated 1:1 room.

  • Prime location with excellent parking & transport links
  • Flexible memberships with regular 1:1 check-ins included
  • A timetable designed for busy professionals
  • A commitment to exceptional service & member care

This isn’t just a job — it’s a career pathway:

  • Be the founding Studio Manager of our flagship location
  • Potential for future equity participation or profit-sharing as the company expands, subject to agreement & performance
  • Clear progression to Head of Pilates across multiple locations as we grow
  • Shape the standards, culture, & systems that define our brand
  • Real opportunity for personal & professional development as the business scales

The Role

Management Responsibilities (approx 10–12 hours/week)

  • Oversee daily studio operations & ensure an exceptional member experience
  • Develop & manage the class timetable (26+ classes initially, expanding over time)
  • Lead recruitment, training, & management of freelance instructors (initially 3–5)
  • Design & implement program offerings & class structures
  • Manage member onboarding & deliver regular 1:1 check-ins
  • Maintain equipment & uphold studio standards
  • Build & nurture a strong, connected community
  • Report on studio performance & support operational systems for future sites
  • Drive first-year goals: create a high-performing team, establish Bristol’s best Pilates reputation, & build scalable systems

Sales & Relationship Responsibilities (embedded within management time)

  • Lead taster sessions & confidently communicate the benefits of reformer Pilates to prospective members
  • Convert leads into active memberships through effective follow-up & strong personal connection
  • Develop & manage local marketing, events, & partnerships to drive membership growth
  • Implement & maintain lead tracking & conversion systems
  • Support & motivate the instructor team to promote memberships & retention
  • Work closely with the owner on growth strategy, retention goals, & sales performance targets

Teaching Responsibilities (9–12 hours/week, freelance at £40/hour)

  • Deliver high-quality reformer Pilates classes on the timetable
  • Set the standard for excellence & lead by example
  • Provide ongoing mentorship & feedback to instructors
  • Lead pre-opening training & team practice sessions
  • Embody our teaching values of care, quality, & personal attention

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Certified Reformer Pilates Instructor
  • Confident, engaging teaching style with strong presence & authority
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring instructors
  • Proven ability to drive sales, conversions, & member retention
  • Strong communication & relationship-building skills
  • Passionate about Pilates, wellness, & community
  • Public liability insurance
  • DBS check (can be arranged)
  • First Aid certification (training provided if needed)

Preferred

  • Level 3 Mat Pilates (Comprehensive Mat)
  • Studio management or leadership experience
  • Experience with booking systems (Mindbody, Glofox, or similar)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset

The Right Fit

Our ideal candidate connects with our target audience - women aged 25–65 who value fitness, connection, & self-care.

You’ll be confident initiating conversations, hosting taster sessions, & building authentic relationships that naturally convert into long-term memberships. You’ll create an environment that feels premium, positive, & inclusive, a space that people can’t wait to return to.

What We Offer

  • OTE £38,000–£44,500 (management + teaching + commission)
  • Excellent career progression with potential for future equity participation or profit-sharing as the business grows
  • Creative freedom to shape our brand identity, culture, & offerings
