Support Worker (Supported Living)

Pay: From Real Living Wage and above (dependent on experience and shift type)

Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts/Bank (including waking nights)

Contract: Agency / Ongoing flexible work working with a respected residential provider across Lancashire and North West .

Precedo Healthcare is hiring experienced Support Workers to work flexibly within supported living services in the Nelson area. We offer regular or ad-hoc shifts to fit your availability — with pay starting at the Real Living Wage and higher rates available based on experience and shift type.

• Minimum 6 months’ experience supporting adults or young people in a residential, supported living, or similar setting
• Confident managing challenging behaviour and supporting with emotional or behavioural difficulties
• Strong communication, resilience, and a caring nature
• Up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
• Full right to work in the UK

• Learning disabilities
• Autism
• Mental health conditions
• Behaviours that challenge
• Physical disabilities

Working 1:1 or in small groups, your role will include:

• Supporting daily living skills (hygiene, cleaning, cooking)
• Encouraging independence and community access
• Managing appointments, shopping, and budgeting
• Promoting mental and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with a supportive care team
• Previous experience in supported living or similar
• Person-centred, compassionate, and consistent approach
