PART TIME BOOKKEEPER

Our client a specialist B2B service company seeks a Part Time Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the business. Reporting to the directors, this role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and credit card statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of trial balances.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws, tax codes, and company policies.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, tax filings, and other regulatory documents.
  • Assist in monthly and yearly closing of financial books.
  • Maintain records of financial transactions and company assets.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payments and discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing for audit purposes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

This role is part-time - 3 days per week, office based.
