About the Role

Only those with courage will thrive - as a Crisis Support Professional, you'll be on the frontline helping people in their most challenging moments. You'll navigate tough conversations, make quick decisions, and stay calm when others can't. No two shifts are the same, and every shift makes a real difference.

You'll carry out assessments, create safety plans, and guide people through crisis situations. Sometimes that means listening and sometimes it means taking decisive action - always showing empathy and care when it matters most.

This role is 28 hours per week, working three shifts per week - two shifts between Monday to Friday between 5pm to 11pm, and one shift at the weekend working between 12pm to 11pm. Working days to vary on a rota basis although the hours of the shifts remain the same (5pm - 11pm during the week and 12pm - 11pm at weekends).

Please note that this role requires a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Tasks:

  • Ensure all aspects of working clients are fulfilled within agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Liaising with other external agencies, complementary therapies, and community groups on behalf of people who use their services.
  • Contribute to protecting individuals from the risk of abuse and harm, both to themselves and others using services.
  • Work as part of a team, sharing information and providing support to colleagues, including volunteers.
  • Engage in regular team meeting and discussions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records as per company policy and procedures utilising appropriate paper and electron systems.
  • Keep up to date details of services activities and outcomes in charity logs, always ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Build rapport with service users based on respect and honesty, offering support and trustworthy environment for their recovery journey.
