We now have a number of exciting opportunities to join our Property Risks and Coverage Large & Complex Loss team. These roles are based out of our Bolton and Manchester offices. Flexible working is encouraged for the right candidates. 
Our cases require a collaborative approach and you will be part of a team which will typically handle property damage claims arising from fires, floods, product liability and other perils. This is not a file handling role. You will be part of a team and will be supporting more experienced lawyers who will be dealing with complex Household and Commercial property damage matters.
The team acts on behalf of a number of the key insurer clients for the firm.

The team has a particular focus on matters where policy coverage is in issue or where fraud is suspected and the work that the team does will involve advising a number of well-known insurers on issues of policy coverage, prospects of success and evidential matters arising from complex fires, floods and other perils. 

This is an assisting role and you will not be required to handle a case load in your own right. You will be working on delegated tasks on files belonging to the wider team. 

Key accountabilities for the role will include: 

• Conducting file reviews & completing factual chronologies
• Collating documents needed in order for the lawyers to consider strategy
• Legal research 
• Arranging and instructing Counsel and other expert attendances 
•  Arranging conferences
• Preparing bundles
• Diarising Court orders and other critical dates
• Chasing documents 
• Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations

• An ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to work with case management systems
• The personal skills to deal with competing demands of your team of lawyers 

Desirable

• Previous experience of working in a team which handles insurance claims
• Knowledge of the sorts of disputes dealt with by the PRC team
