Business Analyst
Contribute to Asta's goals of providing excellent service to clients, by improving processes, optimising workflows and enhancing the overall efficiency of operations.
Your New Role - Process Improvement Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of operational processes to identify areas for improvement. Use operational excellence techniques such as process mapping, cross-functional workshops, data analysis and Lean to identify the root cause of issues.
- Generate Solutions: Work with cross-functional teams to generate solutions that deliver benefits, optimise workflows and reduce costs.
- Benefit realisation: Develop business cases to support your improvement recommendations for review by senior management. Agree success measures and track outcomes to ensure the desired benefits have been realised.
- Business Requirements: Draft business requirements documents for use by IT.
- Change Management: Work closely with stakeholders to communicate changes, address resistance, and ensure that new processes are adopted effectively
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and provide analytical support. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote good practice.
- Strategic Planning: Support the development of long-term operational strategies aligned with company goals. Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend strategies to enhance operational capabilities. Assist in the planning and execution of new projects and initiatives

- Project Management: Skills in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key technical skills, knowledge and professional qualifications required
- Process Improvement Methodologies: Proficiency in methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement techniques
- Process Mapping: Visualising the current state of processes, identifying inefficiencies,, designing optimised workflows and presenting appropriately through process mapping software.
- Running Workshops: Facilitating workshops that bring together team members to collaborate, share ideas, and identify areas for improvement.
- Change Management: Knowledge and practical experience of using change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during process improvements.
- Insurance Experience: The roleholder must have a strong working knowledge of the language used by technical insurance teams e.g. actuarial, finance and underwriting, preferably in the Lloyd’s market.
